Bay St. Louis Municipal Harbor

Bay St. Louis Municipal Harbor & Pier Project

Brown, Mitchell & Alexander, Inc. (BMA), in conjunction with Dale Partners provided services for a feasibility study for a marina in Bay St. Louis. The team was then selected to provide full engineering and architectural services (including design, bidding and construction phase services) as well as coordination with several funding agencies. The new harbor creates a waterfront gateway for the Bay St. Louis downtown district and is designed to spur economic development to cater to tourists, pleasure boaters and recreational fishermen. The project includes approximately 170 boat slips, a fuel dock, convenience pavilion, parking, restrooms and a harbor master facility. The harbor is connected to a recreational fishing pier, and the downtown boulevard provides access for both tourists and residents to the new development.

The Construction Value is approximately $22 Million (CDBG, FEMA, BIG & Tidelands Funds) and was complete in 2014. The Bay St. Louis Municipal Harbor received the "Community Award of Excellence" in 2014 from the Hancock County Chamber of Commerce.
