If you could meet anyone...

I would like to spend a day with Nicholas Steno (1500’s). He was a man of many hats: physician, naturalist, educator, Catholic Bishop. He was the first to discover that the heart was actually a muscle that pumped blood through the body. He is also considered the Father of Modern Geology having come up with the 3 principles of geologic understanding which are still taught today. He is also in line to become Canonized as a Saint.

What is your dream project?

I know it sounds corny… but… I would love to install Geo-Textile Tubing as a form of shore stabilization here on the MS Gulf Coast. This is a low-tech idea that has been tested in several places and might be the long-term solution for beach stabilization here.
