Michelle Phillips
Michelle has been employed at BMA for over 27 years. She served as Executive Assistant to the President from 1996 to 2019 when she took over her current role as Business Manager. Over the years, her exceptional administrative, organizational and accounting skills have provided support to BMA’s leadership team which allows them to perform proficient project design, administration and timely project completion within budget. As Business Manager, her functions include Human Resources / Employee Relations, Accounts Receivable / Payable, Contract Administration, Payroll, Insurance Administrator, and daily coordination with Project Managers for Project Management / Budgets.
Michelle has been involved with many projects during her tenure at BMA which she is extremely proud to have been a part of but takes particular pride in her role with projects during recovery from Hurricane Katrina. Being a part of the BMA team to help rebuild and restore the MS Gulf Coast after such devastation was not only professionally, but personally, rewarding.

What is your dream project?
My dream “project” involves traveling with my husband…….fly to San Diego, CA – tour the zoo, beach and marina; rent a car/jeep/motorcycle and drive Highway 1 up the entire coast of California -stopping by Monterey, San Francisco, Los Angeles (Rodeo Drive only), Mount Shasta and any beautiful beach along the way on the Pacific Ocean, ending up in Vancouver, British Columbia!
Favorite Hobbies
Anything that involves sunshine and the water - boating, relaxing on the beach or by the pool, skiing, parasailing, etc. I also love creating art with bottle caps and decorating with inexpensive items from garage sales or flea markets! I love bargain shopping and consider myself a "Dollar Store junkie!"
Favorite Sport/Athlete
Mary Lou Retton (1984 Olympic Gold Medalist)…love gymnastics!
Favorite Destination
Being raised around the Great Lakes, I love sunshine and the water, so my husband and I have traveled to many tropical places by car, boat, cruise ship just to be near the water. My local "happy place" is Orange Beach, AL but Siesta Key, FLA is a top favorites too! Would love to visit Hawaii or Bora Bora for my next “milestone” birthday!!
